Concept Car

Fluctuating gasoline prices are challenging individuals and families worldwide. In response to the current fuel crisis, your design team needs to develop a vehicle that meets several key criteria:
- maximum fuel efficiency (no less than 45 miles per gallon)
- innovative design
- low emissions
- 2,500 pound maximum weight
- 95% recyclable
- available to arrive in showrooms in May 2014 (model year 2015)
For the competition, your team must provide the following information. - Rubric Chart
- Set of 2D drawings showing sides, top, front, and back views of the 2015 concept vehicle.
- 3D computer generated and/or physical scale model of your 2015 concept vehicle.
- One page, typed marketing plan describing your concept vehicle and target consumer.
- Window sticker describing your concept vehicle’s price, standard features, and options.
- One page, typed paper describing your concept vehicle’s environmental, safety, and ergonomic features.
- One page, typed Team Process describing your team’s obstacles, major decision points, and accomplishments; including a timeline, photographs and drawings.
- A professionally bound team booklet/portfolio containing all of the above requirements.
Teams also are required to prepare a 15-minute oral presentation of their projects for the judges.
