Janey A. Major: Information Technology - Network Security and Computer Forensics Graduated: January 2008 Hometown: Warren, PA (born in Guam) Employer: ARINC Position: Associate Engineer/Analyst II

While the easy way to describe what Janey does is to say "security," she actually works with a team to develop and maintain security systems for various clients like government facilities, airports and universities. Some of the security tools she works with include thermal cameras, fingerprint scanners and card readers. Janey knew she wanted a career in which she could help other people and is confident that she has found a unique way to do just that.

• The first three songs on my iPod are "Viva La Vida" (Coldplay), "Calabria" (Enur), "Combinations" (Eisley).
• You'd never believe it but I was born on an island and to this day I don't know how to swim (or ride a bike). I know, I know...it's pathetic!!
• Xbox, Wii, or PS3? They all have their perks, although I like the interaction that's possible with the Wii.
• PC or Mac? Mac!!! It's aesthetically pleasing and packs a punch or two. Don't let the IT folks fool you, it's every bit as capable as a PC.
• "PTI helped introduce me to the technical and business jargon that I would be facing out in the workforce. I think I speak on behalf of my classmates when I say that we never really had "professors" or anything of that nature. What we had at PTI were experienced and knowledgeable friends."
