Multimedia Technologies
The multimedia artist combines conventional skills such as drawing, design, typography, and color theory with leading digital technologies to create interactive communications for business, education, entertainment and media.
The video/3-D designer produces motion graphics utilizing animation, visual effects, sound and digital video editing for DVD and web applications.
The web/interactive designer creates visually appealing and easy-to-navigate front end screen designs for web and disc applications that allow for information retrieval and dynamic storage - the heart of e-commerce.

Studio doors now open to the new Multimedia Suite.
PTI's $400,000 multimedia classroom renovation is complete. This new learning lab provides multimedia students access to state-of the-industry essentials for their video and 3-D design projects and assignments. The 2400 sq. ft. multimedia environment houses a multi-camera green screen studio with curved cyclorama panels, a single camera green screen studio with an infinity background, four audio recording booths plus observation areas and instructional space.
Now that multimedia suite doors are open, all this is available to our students: lighting, cameras, camera support, audio equipment, monitors, backgrounds, cables, editing systems, microphones, accessories. Click below for partial equipment lists.

PTI multimedia graduates complete industry internships and prepare to accept good jobs in areas such as digital animation, video production, web publishing, broadcast communications and industrial design.
PTI offers one of the leading two-year degrees in multimedia, with state-of-the-industry computer labs and quality hands-on training. Students learn a variety of often used software packages and obtain hands-on experience in solid/surface modeling programs.
Students have the opportunity to work on projects using some of the top industry products such as Flash 8 Professional, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe ImageReady, Director MX, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Ajax, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Combustion, and 3ds max.
PTI video/3-D design students are introduced to special effects, custom animation, motion tracking, lighting techniques, framing, image composition, studio recording and mixing, surround sound, DVD authoring, interactive and web-based video.
PTI web/interactive design students are introduced to sound and video elements, dynamic video, dynamic sound, scripting languages, design interfaces, enhanced animations, search engine optimization, client-side interactivity, programming languages and code troubleshooting.
